OpenSG Users Group Conference
Energizing The Smart Grid
June 25 – 28, 2012 >> Cincinnati, OH
Introduction
The OpenSG User Group (OSGug) was formed for users to get information on the progress of the Open Smart Grid (OSG) issues and to share their project experiences. The user group holds three face-to-face meetings each year where recognized experts share their insights and resolve key technical issues. Each meeting also includes a pre-conference orientation "boot-camp" and industry networking opportunities.
Who Should Attend
Utilities that are using standards-based integration to meet their business challenges will find this conference invaluable. Project managers, system architects, business and IT managers, and control center personnel will all benefit from this meeting.
The conference is open to all current or potential OpenSG users – you do not have to be a UCAIug member to attend. Attendees gain firsthand access to OSG experts and come away with new insights on the power of OSG activities.

ANSI/CEA 2045 Modular Communication Interface: Build-and-Test Workshop
This workshop is one of a series that are evaluating the emerging CEA-2045 standard through a build/test process. The specification defines the mechanical, electrical, and logical characteristics of a socket interface so that residential products can be compatible with any utility communication system. The standard leverages existing application-layer standards as possible, and identifies physical, data link and application elements as needed to assure support of both limited and advanced products. Participating manufacturers will bring prototype communication modules and end-devices that support the ANSI/CEA-2045 specification and will evaluate the extent to which the interface enables any residential end device to participate in any utility DR program.
To participate in this event, you must select this session when you register for the event.
