The creation of this site is to address a common challenge that we hear from participants; that there is no easy way to find final specifications from the various teams without knowing what you are looking for, how teams organize their information, etc.

The SRS focuses on the requirements to support the interactions and exchange of information for the purposes of Demand Response (DR) and includes the exchanges of DR related information between various entities dealing with the Utilities, such as Independent System Operators (ISO’s), Aggregators, Energy Service Providers and end use customers. The scope of OpenADR SRS includes standardizing dispatch, control and pricing signals for DR and Distributed Energy Resources (DER).

As such, the scope of this document applies from the edge of the AMI System, where the Energy Services Interface resides, to all relevant HAN Devices in the home.
